Motivational Monday #5

Posted by Unknown at 9:21 AM 0 comments
For me, being a student is quite hard. As i need to be in a certain mood to write me essays or i have to be in my "homework zone" to get anything done.  Usually when i try to do some work for university i sit down with Microsoft Word  staring blankly back at me from my computer screen. I love to write and to do anything that requires using my own imagination and expressing my own opinion.  Sometimes it just does not feel right.
When there's other people in the room besides me- they might disturb me a little bit, but as soon as the person starts talking with me I'm pissed, i get so angry about it. So for me to know, i have to be alone to get any work done. Other times it's an open window that irritates me, because all of the traffic sounds and people passing by.
Sometimes i need a cup of tea next to me, i might not even drink it, i just need to see that it's there, it has become some kind of ritual for me. The same thing goes for cleaning my working space before studying. I have to do this every time, or else i know it's not gonna work out at all.
So if you are having hard time with concentrating to  work, surround yourself with the things that make you feel good and make you feel  comfortable.

In my first year at uni i figured out that best motivation for me is "last minute panic". I don't mean like a "due tomorrow" panic, but more like "you have to handle this essay in in next week". I'm pretty sure this is the best motivation so far. I have written so many essays in last minute and usually i get the best ideas in last minute and I have never gotten below A- for a last minute essay. Whereas I got a B for a essay i handled in two weeks before due date. You see ?

I'm not saying you all should leave your homework to the last minute, but sometimes great ideas are simply late. :)

Fear factor

Posted by Unknown at 11:55 AM 0 comments
Hello my dear. :)

I just woke up and thought that i had to wrote this down for me, just in case if i ever forget i can come here and read this.
I went out last night, our uni had a freshman party, I'm not a freshman but i still went there, because all of the students were invited. Couple of our students had organized this huge party, they rented a whole club. We never made inside the party :D We sat down in front of the club opened couple of bottles, drank those and went to the old town.
We decided to stay at "The pub with no name". Every Wednesday they play this game there, called "The fear factor" We though that signing our names up for this was a good idea, so we did it. They chose 6 people who compete against each other, somehow i ended up being one of them.

First task was to put 5 Hubba Bubba chewing gums in you mouth and you had to blow a bubble at least as big as your fist. I did it! So i got to the next round.
Second task was to drink a big class of something with a straw, whom ever finishes first gets through to the final. I'm glad to say that i was the fastest sucker. ;) Later we were told that the thing we were drinking was beer mixed with condensed milk. That's pretty gross. And suddenly i was in a final game, competing against a guy.
As i thought, our third task was something to to with eating. What did we eat? Drum roll please... whipped cream, with snails, snails that were living, i repeat they were alive. I managed to swallow only one snail, so obviously i lost, but at least i tried. Huge respect for the guy i was competing against, amazing :D

We came home when the night was still young.
What a fun night !

Shopping bag.

Since i promised to show you all what have i bought recently, i thought today is going to be that day.

I've been wanting to try this since forever, but it's a small bottle and price isn't very friendly so i have never bought that before. I still don't know if i liked it, anyway it tasted healthy.

Also i finally tried Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough flavoured ice cream. How is this even a real thing? It's a little bit too sweet if you try to eat a lot at once, but it's still delicious.

I visited second hand store and found this H & M shirt from there, it has little crystals on shoulders and in front. This is one of those loose shirts that just hangs from your shoulders.

Also from that store, I got a new belt. G found it and was thrilled about this belt so she wanted to show it too me, I saw it and i took it. I didn't even think that she might want it, I'm so sorry :)

Found myself a pair of new shoes. Like my shirt, they also have little crystals all over them. I paid 11 euros for them, which i find to be a total bargain.

That's something that i didn't needed but it felt so soft and it's super comfortable, so i had to buy this "ombre" sweatshirt/cardigan, what ever it wants to be.

I've seen bloggers using these things, so i thought i give it a try. They actually do work, so I'm surprised.

Couple of months ago i saw this in the shop and i smelled it, and it was amazing. It somewhat reminds me of my childhood. I have been looking this body lotion ever since i first saw it, but couldn't find it anywhere, until now.

This is also something that one of my favourite blogger wrote about, and i could not leave this in the store, i had to buy it. Aah, the smell of that is so good. It's so fresh and awakening. Price isn't very friendly, but it's a big bottle so it's worth it.

Also bought three bracelets. They were on sale so i had to buy three at once. :)

And that's almost  all i have bought so far, i think.
Have you treated yourself recently with things that you don't usually buy ?

Long time, no see.

Hey, how are you ? I have been away for a quite long time, and I'm so sorry.

While i haven't written here I've celebrated my best friends birthday. Which was so much fun. On the first night we went out clubbing and skinny dipping in the middle of the night. In the morning of the second day we started our celebrations all over again.  I felt like crap after but it was worth it.

Also I got to see my dad and my little brother. I don't see them very often since we live in different cities and i don't have time to visit them. My brother has gotten so big.

My Brother Ott with Getter.

Then I survived the grand opening of out new ice cream cafe. That was crazy, I spent at least 2 hours blowing up balloons. For 4 hours we gave out free ice cream, there were 500+ people. It was an absolute madness.

Also have you noticed that it's September and school has started again. I was so excited about new school year, I'm no longer a fresh man is uni. :) But unfortunately my excitement was short, because i have been suffering from terrible back aches for almost two weeks now and I've been having high temperature so yesterday i went to the hospital. They kept me in for four hours, they did an ultrasound, took some blood, and then they tied me up to the IV drip. Turns out i have serious kidney infection.  Now i have to eat antibiotics for a while days, then i have to visit my doc again, to run new tests.  I'm already feeling better so that's some good news.

Also yesterday I had a payday. How cool is that, I went a little bit crazy with shopping. I'm gonna show you some other day what have i bought, so that has to wait for now.

Overall, last month has been amazing, i enjoyed it, i felt happy, everything was too good to be true.  Today I got some not so good news, and now I'm not sure how i feel about it. I'm still in a shock, and surprised - not in a good way.
But  I still got my Best Friend next to me, so I'm gonna be fine.

I don't want to end this post with a sad note so i have to tell you where i went yesterday. Me and G went to see soccer,  Estonia vs Netherlands. It ended 2-2. Before the game we decided to join in with other fans to march through the city to the arena where the game was held. It was so nice, we had a marching band in front of us, and everybody was singing along. This experience is worth so much to me.

hey G :)
