How many times have you been on a bus, and saw how teenagers give their seat to elderly people? I think i saw it once, it was almost a half a year ago. Couple of month ago i was in a trolley, and I was standing next to a seat where some man was sitting, at some point that man left and the seat was empty, I heard how girls behind me were talking that they can sit down now. But in the front of the bus there was an older lady walking towards that seat so i naturally stand in front of these girls and didn't let the to get to the seat first.
You' re young, and you are perfectly healthy, you can stand up for couple of stops, it's not that hard !
After i got off the trolley, that old lady came off with me, and thanked me for what i did, she was so happy because i noticed how hard ti was for her to stand there with her grocery bags.
A month ago, i was on a bus on my way home to my mums place. And when it was my stop, there was this lady who could not get off the bus, because her bag was really heavy and it was stuck between the seats. So i helped her to carry her bags town the bus stairs. She hugged me and gave my a candy, because i helped her.
About a week ago, i was on a bus with my friends and we were laughing quite hard. We thought we might disturb others in the bus so we tried to chuckle quietly. But suddenly an older lady came to us and said that we should keep laughing, people are way too serious nowadays, and it's good to hear someone laugh from the bottom of their heart. She told us to keep up and to have a good day.
What i want to say is, we really should notice older people around us, they might need our help. Even if they don't need help to carry their bags etc. just smile to them, it makes them happy and usually they smile back and it makes your day and their day a little bit brighter.
